Hair by Kiitan started with Kiitan alone in her student dorm, teaching herself to braid during lockdown.
She was posting the practice to TikTok, and somewhere along the way it caught. By the time the world reopened, there was a community waiting for her to open a chair.
Today we run a private studio in downtown Edmonton, working one appointment at a time. What we specialize in is the soft, statement-making style HBK has become known for — from boho braids to French curls.
We treat braiding like the craft it is. That means clean parting, gentle tension on the hair, and enough time in the chair to get the finish right. No ten-hour marathons or rushed installs.
Underneath all of it, we care about the health of your hair. Braids come out eventually, your natural hair stays. So every install is designed to protect it, not work against it.
